Blue Blood Moon Hike

January 31 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

free

Join Phil Brown, NH Audubon’s Director of Land Management, for an outing at the Willard Pond Wildlife Sanctuary to view the rare full ‘blue blood’ moon! Be prepared for a moderately strenuous hike/snowshoe on a trail of the leader’s choice at the Sanctuary. We may walk up to 2 miles round-trip in search of good viewing of this spectacle. Tracking conditions may be excellent, too, and we will look for signs of moose, porcupine, bobcat, and some of the other seldom-seem wildlife by the light of moon or by headlamp.

Meet at the main parking lot at the end of Willard Pond Road in Antrim by the kiosk. Bring a headlamp, beverage, choice of icy/crusty snow footwear (snowshoes/spikes), and dress for the weather. Co-sponsored with the Harris Center for Conservation Education.
