Nighthawk Watch Volunteer Training

This training is designed for volunteers new to Project Nighthawk, but it is valuable for volunteers who have watched only a few times, and as a refresher for experienced volunteers. We will have an indoor introduction to nighthawks and nighthawk watching and then drive to a location where we can observe a displaying nighthawk (hopefully) and practice recording its behavior. Field Trip: Concord November Challenge

2017 marks the tenth year that birders have gathered in Concord in early November to see how many species we can find within the city limits. Over the years we’ve found 124 species, with the record of 93 set in 2013. Can we top it in 2017?! Audubon Christmas Bird Count

Saturday Dec. 30, 2017 All or part day The Nashaway Chapter will be participating in the 118th annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC). We will be counting birds by day and tallying our sightings over dinner at 5pm at the Maple Hill Farm, Beaver Brook, 117 Ridge Road, Hollis ($5 charge for dinner). Backyard Winter Bird Survey – You Can Help!

February 10 - February 11

NH Audubon's annual winter survey takes place on February 10 and 11, 2018. Anyone can participate by counting the birds in their own backyard on the survey weekend and sending the results on a special reporting form or reporting online.
