State Conservation and Rescue Archaeology Program

SCRAP is the State Conservation and Rescue Archaeology Program that engages volunteers who work with professional archaeologists to investigate sites around New Hampshire that help tell the story of past residents. Projects have included caribou hunting sites from the end of the Ice Age, fishing areas used for thousands of years, Native American agricultural and fur trade sites from the time of first contact with Europeans.
