Red Barn Speaker Series: Protecting Newfound Lake Through Landscaping on Your Property

August 29, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

$5M/$7NM

Rain storms can lead to costly damage on your property, but they can also do harm to nearby streams and lakes. Stormwater runoff has become the number one threat to New Hampshire Lakes and we have seen the effects on Newfound. Luckily, there’s a solution! This presentation will talk about the dangers of stormwater, as well as guide you in ways to storm-proof your property.

Andrew Veilleux joined the NLRA in April 2014 as the Program Manager. He came to the association with an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and a masters from Plymouth State University’s Center for the Environment. He has been heavily involved with conservation and the outdoors throughout his education and career. He has also worked with the Squam Lakes Association on graduate research and summer programs, experience that was extremely beneficial to this position! Andrew has also spent time teaching and coaching at the nearby New Hampton School. He is an avid outdoorsman and is very knowledgeable about the Lakes Region and White Mountains.
