Engage With Nature: Hebron & Newfound Audubon Center

Posted on July 5, 2012

Check out NH Audubon’s table at the Hebron Fair and visit the Newfound Audubon Center.  For a change of pace, explore a flood plain meadow filled with a variety of wildflowers where many different animals and their tracks are often seen.  The cool, clean water of the Cockermouth River flows over a sandy bottom, and the watery reflections of riverfront trees create a tunnel of green where animals and people find respite from the sun.  Guided River Walks will depart from the Ash Cottage ( just east of Hebron Village on North Shore Road) at 10, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30.  Approximately ½ hour.
