	New Hampshire Birding List Serve Information

NH.Birds

There's a service available on the internet for New Hampshire birders. NH.Birds was created as a forum to discuss birds and birding in New Hampshire, including recent sightings of rare and not-so-rare birds, conservation issues, upcoming field trips, or any other topic that may be of interest to birders in New Hampshire. NH.Birds was created with the assistance of David Blezard and the University of New Hampshire. It is an open mailing list, meaning that anyone can post messages to the list; however, if you wish to receive messages from the list, you must subscribe to it. The service started in October and has over 200 internet subscribers who are tuning in and sharing their experiences with other New Hampshire birders. Some examples of e-mails include:

• Rare bird sightings; including lesser black-backed and black-headed gulls, common moorhen, and canvasbacks!
• Weekly rare bird alerts from ASNH sent to you automatically
• Summaries of several New Hampshire Christmas Bird Counts
• Tracking bohemian waxwings and northern finches around the state
• Discussions on binoculars
• Discussions on the feeding behavior of birds
