Expert Naturalist, Bob Quinn, is leading two discounted wildlife tours of northern New Hampshire, focusing on Lake Umbagog and the Connecticut Lakes.
October 16-18, 2022 and October 18-20, 2022
These short, two-night tours will be FAMILIARIZATION TOURS of the best wildlife areas in northern New Hampshire. They are deigned to introduce you to the natural wonders of this area and to encourage you to return to them.
North of the well-known White Mountains there are enormous tracks of wild forest that are full of great birds and other wildlife yet have few visitors. These dramatic landscapes shimmer with brilliant lakes and the bogs are frequented by secretive Moose. And the birds! In May the warblers should be in abundance and the northern specialties such as Canada Jays and Black-backed Woodpeckers will be nesting.
We will spend one night each in Errol, near the wild and unspoiled Lake Umbagog, and in Pittsburg’s stunningly beautiful Connecticut Lakes region. This will give you an introduction to these marvelous areas, including a chance to see some great birds and other wildlife. You owe it to yourself to experience this unique area with the guide who knows it best!
DISCOUNTED COST: $245.00 per person (double occupancy).
Single supplement of $85.
Cost includes lodging, guide, slide shows, and handouts. Transportation and meals are the responsibility of the participants. Limited to ten participants. To reserve your spot please contact Bob directly at RAQbirds@aol.com or (603) 746-2535.
The tours are supported by a grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to promote birding in northern Coos County.
