2022 Center Hours at Paradise Point
Newfound Center is closed for the season.
Located on the beautiful northern shore of Newfound Lake, the Newfound Audubon Center is comprised of three wildlife sanctuaries: the Paradise Point Nature Center, Ash Cottage at Hebron Marsh Sanctuary and the Bear Mountain Sanctuary. Enjoy the outdoors on foot or water on your own or with a Naturalist, visit our nature center, or attend our summer Red Barn Speaker Series!
Naturalist Programs. Hiking. Boating. Nature Exhibits.
During the summer months, the Nature Center offers programs and guided tours for all ages. See our programs page for more details. At the Paradise Point Nature Center there are several exhibits about the regional natural history; live animals; and canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddle board rentals. Plus, with sanctuary trails open all year, there is always something to do. Binoculars are available to borrow while at Paradise Point.
The Paradise Point, Hebron Marsh, and Bear Mountain Sanctuary trails are open year-round to bird watchers and hikers, Nordic skiers and snowshoers. Paradise Point and Hebron Marsh extend to the water’s edge, allowing visitors to experience more of Newfound Lake’s habitat, while Bear Mountain’s hillside habitat exemplifies the beauty of New Hampshire’s woodlands.
Get out on the water and explore the Newfound Lake Water Trail right from our dock! Bring your own or rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard (see rental information below).

COVID-19 Safety Measures:
For the protection of you and our staff, we require visitors to wear a mask when inside the center, which we will be doing, too. Make sure it is covering your mouth AND nose. If you do not have a mask, we have disposable masks available at the center.
Masks are not necessary while on the water or walking the trails with your family.
The Newfound Audubon Center can be the spot to hold your employee outing, special family reunion, wedding or other event. Space for parking is extensive at Ash Cottage, but events can also be held at Paradise Point. Consider having a day of canoeing and kayaking available to your group, include a nature program or even a campfire to round out the fun and learning.
In addition to our engaging programs, our nature center includes several interactive exhibits and live animal displays. With three separate sanctuaries, and 3,500 feet of unspoiled frontage on Newfound Lake, we are the perfect destination for inquisitive and adventure-seeking groups.
Have your child’s summer birthday party at Newfound Audubon Center! We will help plan everything and include a program, too! Catering to camp and recreation departments, we offer flexible programming and can work directly with you to complement your current curriculum.
